Title: Are They Really Evil?

Are the villains from Sugar Shooter really evil?  In all honesty, the game never mentions them hurting anyone.  It just says that they are eating food(are the buildings made out of food?).  That just makes me think of that fairy tale(not the Grimm version) where Hanzel & Grettel eat a gingerbread house before a witch invites them in with intentions to kill.

Aside from Sugarless, the rest seem pretty innocent about their actions.  They don't even seem to realize that what they're doing is wrong.  And the fact that Satan is "punishing" them for crimes they did not know they were committing, makes Satan seem a bit...tyrantish.

I know, I'm reading too much into this, but it's fun to think about it.

So are the villains from Sugar Shooter really evil?

Note that the story in the first game is mostly by Takezamurai (I just help adjusting it a bit), so I think this is a pretty fun thing to talk about.

To me, they're more along the line of 'doing something bad without realizing it'. That Hanzel & Grettel sums up pretty well. Still, the building and many things in Sugar Shooter's world are made from sweets, so eating them would basically make people homeless XD

Sugarless did mention that they're from a world without sweets. I think it would be fun and interesting if we could get a chance to explore more on where he come from.

Sugarless is a lord, it's normal for a lord to venture past his land and try to take over new territories, especially if they have something he wants.

It's like the phases of a character alignment chart. The characters have traits of law, chaos, truth, and neutrality, evil, good. Which is just how people are. lol So even though these are fake characters that doesn't mean it's like a Disney film where this is the good guy and this is the bad guy.

Satan though. I think that's where it gets into a deeper idea of who's been naughty and who's been nice.
Satan's such a naughty boy, if Santa told him so, he'd just take it as a come-on. lol

It's fun to think about. Maybe the villains come from a world made of really bitter things! So a whole world made of sugar would be paradise for them. But I agree that the other three seem kind of innocent and are just following Sugarless' orders. Although I kinda feel sorry for Sugarless, he seemed really bitter (heh) about his world. At least he got a happy ending.... sort of.... I think...

On another note, I'm more worried about how they all manage to keep in great shape when they're all eating loads of sweets lol.

If that's the case, Satan should've had fucked up teeth and diabetes XD
