Kemo Coliseum / Re: Kemo Coliseum discussion

This might be weird, but is there a way to get the original concept demo from the site? I liked that gameplay and saw it a nice challenged to wind without stripping WITHOUT being stripped yourself!

I think it's a good start but I'm not seeing much to interest me this time (I know my faves are not very popular :-\)

I'll wish them luck and hope for a juicier sequel! ;)

The characters don't have to be heroes, they just have to be able to fight :3

What about Gorillas and Monkeys?

Just have to be a purpose why they battle and join the tournament. Heroes or villains.

Gorillas are good in strength. They might be carrying huge log or bat to strike out.

Monkeys are flexible and fast and tricky too. Real Fitting body.  :D  He carries a staff like Son Goku?

Gorilla- Onyx, towering over his brothers, left his family to live his own life. Some found him intimidating, but others thought of his calm and silent ways as weakness, only to fall to massive hands. After taking on a group of bandits chasing a solitary monkey, he heard of the Coliseum Tournament from him and decided to go there and see how his strength would fare there... and get right of the shady youth along the way.

Monkey- following Onyx after he "saved him from bandits", but only because the onyx colossus just gave up telling him to leave. The long rope and sack he carries are probably more than 'performance tools'

Hmmmm.. If the Gorilla wins what can he get from the king after winning the tournament?

I dunno if he will put new characters in the update.   :-\  Punipen is planning to have a create your own character tool in the game. but no story mode.

I'll hope the creation bit makes it to the final product!

And one wish "Onyx" will grant himself is getting rid of the monkey in his shadow! He certainly won't give HIM a chance to get a wish! He's too... hard to trust.

Also, I realized the Press Turn System could be translated into Action Points

You start with 6 Action Points (AP)
Spend all AP and your turn is over

List of basic actions and their costs :
Swap gems and make a match of three=   1 AP
Swap gems and make no match= 2 AP
Swap gems and make a match of four or more= FREE (0 AP)
Use a skill= Depends on the skill

There are other conditions that will give you 1 AP instead of costing you as well :
*  Break enemy's armor's part
*  Deal critical damage

Just thought it might be easier to program and to understand

Just read the monthly update from the blog. Puzzle Quest infinite loops are sinful fun when you do them, but HELL when the (CHEATER)computer does them over and over.

I'm eager to know which skills will be used with this system. MegaTen can have some intense moments, and I'm sure it will be just as good here.

Since there's a chance of making your own characters, will we get to choose skills or use premade "class" skill sets?

Congratulations! I'm really happy to hear that you finally did it. And not just one, but all four of them! :D

As for part 3, we have a plan for it, but would have to be after Kemo Coliseum and other game first :) Gonna try something more casual this time, hehe.

Casual? You mean easier, or just no H-scenes next time? Either way, I'm still buying it? If I get a good commission or two I'm donating for Kemo Coliseum, too!

I had quit buying the cards, just the DS games, but I saw HIM and now I'm back to fanfiction on them. Kemo Coliseum helped me go back to it as well ;)

Using Frey on the side image as a landmark is something I've never thought off! I'm also glad you found tap shooting technique!
Tarosuke is probably the best partner to use this technique.

Interesting one, the landmark idea, since  they all stay in the same spot.

Could you explain tap shooting? I'm not really sure how it works...

Thanks for sharing

I'm actually interested in the RPS game from the same author

http://www.digiket.com/work/show/_data/ID=ITM0062736/

But I might be able to get a BuyClub going for it. Now I'll now if I can actually play this type before buying the other one!

Also, glad that forums can help you get and PLAY the games. If it's full of kanji I get completely lost in trail-and-error but thanks to this one
CENSORED
Thanks again ;D
I got to play more or less like it's meant to.

EDITED: Sorry! Please don't share anything illegal here :(

Huh?

He's suggesting to make the partner characters playable and have their own versions of Frey, I believe? hee

Yeah, that's what I mean. Maybe I am really overdoing it with keeping it short?

Sugar Shooter / Sugar Shooter new playable Characters?
February 21, 2012, 02:24:14 AM
I know it has been just 2 games, but looking ahead is part of the fun for me. ;D

Tarosuke
Circle: ... Not really sure (I'm playing Taiko no Tatsujin, so it might influence me wrongly)
Helper: ...a Daruma? (looked it up after seeing Darumaka in Pokemon, and once more after that stage... they drive me nuts :()

Arthur
Circle: Football and Field (around the football, I guess)
Helper: Mohawk Helm/Sacker Boar (his hairstyle gave me the idea)

Souffle
Circle: Puppy Collar (with bone details?)
Helper: ???

Sugarless
Circle: Shield Aegis (he doesn't NEED a shield  8))
Helper: ... I have no clue  :o

Just thinking of something to take a break... Fuuma keeps blowing my Synchro away :(

I recommend using the No nudity and No H-Scene options when making YT vids. That way you can keep it public and might get more people interested in the games! (make sure to explain the REAL game in the description, though!)

And I hope that will stay for all the following games, since the story is pretty much acceptable at all hours/all audiences with those options on (at least in this game, so don't let me hold you back for the next ones! ;))

Got to Fuuma and died when I had a Synchro Level of 25... huhuhu... baw

I feel your pain. got lvl. 28 that time. but to beat the game without continue learn when to stop getting more soul frisk but use it as back up life support. you know like a 2nd bomb to deplete bullets when getting interrupted.

Funny I did just that when I was under 200% about to literally eat a huge shot. Of course, I also have no idea how much Synchro is needed for the full partner ending, so I better just get good enough to get up to 20 like you do...

The spoiler motivated to do it, so...

LET'S NOT EAT BULLETS!  ;D
