Yes, another one. I have a bit too much free time and type at least 25 WPM   This one goes with the incubus in the  Character Request thread. Go ahead and give it some love!




Sugar Shooter: Sleepless in Sugar Kingdom

Plot Synopsis



One day, Tarosuke's room looks like a fireworks factiry blew up inside. Next day, only Arthur got any sleep, but everyone else heard him have a Super Bowl on his room, which he denies. Next day, Souffle's room looks like he had and army of puppies pplaying in it... AND he's still asleep when everyone checks him. and yesterday. Sugarless' room looks like a war of Shogunate had passed thourgh it, and somehow HE is more shocked thatn anyone else!

Prince Satan thinks he might learn more by investgating around his castle, only to find dozens of kunai outisde his castle, and the one responsible, Tohryu the ninja, who has such bags under his eyes Satan thinks he's got tanuki face paint, leading to a mumbled joke from the weakened Tohryu. His only hint and piece of advice is not to sleep, before he finally collapses and falls asleep himself.





Gameplay


This game's feature is the Wide Awake mode. Prince Satan's partner is usually in a sleep-walking state, shooting alongside you. nce you fill the Bar you can wake them up. Each partner has a different AI, some stay beside or around you, protectting you, while others go after enemies.





Enemies


1.    Phobos-  An incubus who is making dreams extend beyond the mind of the sleeping person. After being exiled from his world, he started the Dream Crisis out of anger, but kept it going after he became interested and entertained by the dreams he found.

5.    Kibi- Afftected by the Dream Crisis, he attacks in his sleep as soon as he senses someone nearby. Awakened by Prince Satan, he still thinks he's at fault an keeps attacking him until defeated.

6.    Tohryu- Afftected by the Dream Crisis, he attacks in his sleep as soon as he senses someone nearby. Unfortunately he doesn't realize someone is making him float around, and ends up sleep-shooting against Prince Satan

I try actually, but sometimes finishing one takes MONTHS...  For a little hint, I have TEN TABS in Firefox right now.
But when I start typing, I get several pages worth! Same when I get into drawing stuff, usually. I put myself in gear when commissioned, since good services is good business! 

But I enjoy sharing ideas with others and see what it all adds up to.

The incubus and the theme set up is interesting! Though you might wanna wait until SS2 is released before you continue with Toryu and Kibi

The sleep and awaken state sounds really interesting though. It could be further improve and turn out into something fun and interesting. I'll keep this in mind, should we happen to really make a Sugar Shooter with Incubus theme ^ ^

Ramsey, Question. Would Souffle's dream would be that's he's a kemono?. Hee hee He always wear the Dog Costume. So maybe in his dreamworld he's a cute kemono looking in  there.

Hmm... that's a nice idea, considering that the intro  hints at what happens in the dreams...

Arthur's would be one heck of a football game... HUT!

Souffle's? Hmm... is his room messed up from being chased around, or because he's playing around too much?

But since I'm going with the partner mechanic from SS2, I guess the first stage is waking up your chosen partner?

I just went along with some quick ideas from looking at character pics at the time.

I have been training with Moedan and other Touhou games, so hopefully I will do well in SS2. Maybe I can actually clear SS1 as well!

BTW, before Touhou, were there other games with a system like Spell Cards, I mean with an "attack" phase before a "special" phase?
