Kemo Coliseum name suggestions

Sorry for the lack of activity these days, guys. I was busy trying to finish Touch and Tease 2 to raise fund for Kemo Coliseum. I'll make sure to check every name here later and post about what we like in one of our weekly report

Volga for Husky sounds good to me though. I'll see what others have to say!

The name suggestions are really creative. Personally, I like names that are short and roll off the tongue easily. Names like Woyzeck, Nylathak, and Vladislav are good names, but will sound awkward when I say things like "Argh, Woyzeck is so hard to beat" etc.

Hmm my vote...

Bear: Yep Tharsix, Reiga really made it grow on me. It's original and true to the character.

Husky: I like Vlad, Magnus, Ivan, or Neil. He seems to be the quiet and tough type of guy.

Cat:  I like Bart. Since he's a prince on the run. His full name would be Bartholomew, but then he shortens it. It also sounds like a name for a spoiled, troublemaking person. I like Cyrus too.

Lion: Khan or Zarek, any intimidating name actually. He seems like a character that would be a big obstacle for the pc. There should be a sort of dread to facing him.

Fox: I like Salvatore, Viktor or Jacques. His character looks like an odd ball that's quirky and lives for the sake of experimenting (wink wink).

Panther: Savanti or Barbas. Wild guy needs a wild name.

Bull: Taurik , He doesn't seem like a bright character. haha.

Rabbit: Mammon or Cronus. dark character.

Eagle: I like Qwan, Enzo, or Zuul. Another Stoic character.

Tanuki: I laughed at almond, but we need a japanese name. So how about a japanese nut instead. Like Gingko

i think i have a good name for the husky, it says he's from the northen lands, so how about a swedish name?
Carl-Johan, it meens brave hero and have the heart at the right place.
Really nice characters and idea for a game, im going to get it when it comes out ^^

Savanti is a girls name in search.  Barbas is a a tropical American timber tree (Vitex longeracemosa) with yellowish brown lustrous wood —called also jocote de mico. Name of a tree dance would fit.

what does Taurik means? Sounds like Tauren though.

Rabbit

Mammon is a name of the food here :9 very delicious. Cronus almost sounds like Chronos it means time and crow. There's another name but almost sound like Cronus. I forgot the name.

I haven't been able to think or post about much here recently since I've had to work on applications for school, but I have a few thoughts.

Thoughts

Husky: One of my concerns over 'Vlad,' 'Vladislav,' or 'Vladimir' is the fact that I immediately think of the vampire champion Vladimir from League of Legends. I know some people don't play LoL, but a lot of people do, and they may think of this too. Also, I don't think the meaning fits that well.

Cat: I like the name Bartholomew, though he was born a prince, so it would seem unlikely his given name would mean 'son of a farmer.' Though since he's on the run, maybe he'd adopt a name that's more befitting of a common man. However, Bart reminds me of Bart Simpson, a cartoon character well known around the world. I would prefer Barthol or even Tholomew as the shortened version of the name.

Panther: Kafeel appears to be Arabic in origin. Interesting. I don't really have much more to say on it, though. Barbas reminds me of 'barbarous,' like a barbarian. Some may view that as commentary on his heritage (Native American? Aztec? Inca? Something?), which would not be good.

Fox: I still don't like Salvatore due to its origin. It only fits if we force the fox's backstory to fit. Viktor is a somewhat mundane name, and there is also a LoL champion with the same name.

Suggestion

Rabbit: I still can't help but pay attention to the light and dark theme this guy has, as well as the scale he is holding. So I was thinking something like Lucatrum or Lucater, which mean 'light and dark' in Latin. It can also be shortened to Luc. Also, why does this guy have a crown?

BTW the panther. You can see him drooling in his pic.  I wonder why he drool. It's not like he's drooling on his weapon. Maybe drooling how his opponent be naked. ^^; He's a wild fighter alright.

If Husky X (Tharsix) Bear. Husky won and got Tharsix's freedom and Tharsix lives with the survivors with Husky.

If Husky X (Prince Cyrus) Cat. Prince. Cyrus might make a Kingdom and Husky's people will come in live in kingdom.

If (Prince Cyrus) Cat X (Tharsix) Bear. The Prince brought the slaves and work in his new kingdom.

I've never even heard of that game before. Is it popular? I know mainstream in the US isn't the same as mainstream elsewhere. I guess if you are afraid of people thinking of Luc from Suikoden then we don't have to shorten the name.

Anyways, this is the name suggestion thread. Let's at least try to stay on topic. Talking about what we want to see in relationships can maybe go in its own thread or in the general discussion thread, instead of being buried here.

Also, Wanfang, are you not going to add my suggestions to the list on the front page? They can't be THAT bad, right?

Coming to a consensus on names seems like it will be difficult. The only one we've reached consensus on is Tharsix for the bear...still nine more to go....
