Localization of Bara Manga in America -- Your thoughts

A couple of years ago; bara's manga was a bit of an obscure genre, something few people knew about.

It got (a bit) more popular on the web, across some gay communities and manga communities. Being a genre that not everyone can /enjoy/, it's still not that well known.

Last year was the release of The Passion of Gengoroh Tagame. The company behind it didn't say much, but it seems it was a big success.
Some months after; then announced a new project, being a kind of sequel, Gay Erotic Manga And The Men Who Make It.

This Winter was the release date for Endless Game, by Gengoroh Tagame; but I didn't heard much things about this one. (I-I sill haven't bought it...)

Now now, only 3 weeks ago, PictureBox, the publisher behind The Passion of Gengoroh Tagame and Gay Erotic Manga And The Men Who Make It announced they will shut down the December 31. (Source)
(Massive, the new company behind those two bara mangas said they will find a new publisher, don't worry)

Bara manga are not as popular as yaoi here, but it's starting to get more and more well-known.

Sorry for my long introduction, let me get straight to the point: What do you think about bara manga in America? Do you own/plan to own one or more of those books? Do you think there is, or there will be a market for this type of manga?

Also, bonuses questions: Do you think "furry" stuff can be considered bara? (I don't get people who says it cannot be...) Do you think furry-bara manga would be able to hold a place in those bara manga anthologies?

interesting Question. I'm from Europe and english isn't my mother tongue so it's a bit difficult to write doen what I think. I will try it 

I will definitly by more Games and Comics. I think the market is connected world wide and I'm so fucking happy that there are more companys going to release english Comics and Games. I mean I'm not only buying Bara Stuff (I think of Class Comics and Wade from Bruno Gmünder). My personal Opinion is, the more we buy the broader gets the market. If I only download all the stuff from the forums the artists can't efford to live from their work. Despite I also it's pretty convenient to simply download... I once ordered to games by Rainbow Shoppers and it was a Kind of Desaster. First I had to pay a lot for the transport. Because there was no Information about the Taxes I allready paid I had do go to our local Tax Office it took me a hole day to get there and back... Then I had to pay some more Taxes and as I finally was home it turns out that one of the Games wouldn't work on my Computer... I was reaaaalllllyyy pissed So if it is possible to buy a game or comic easily (like on amazon) I will do it whenever I have the money in hope that there always will be Bara Art.

Actually, there are furry and non-furry Japanese artists who are interested in bringing their comic to English audiences, since I have been talking to them so this is a great question! I hope after the holiday season more people will reply to this thread.

Thanks for your answer Punipen, I really love that you spent the time to read my (kind of) long text. (Being not a native English Speaker, it's a bit hard to me, eheh...)

Gunji (From Gengoroh Tagame) will be available in English near March 2014. Yay ♥

I would love it if there were bara manga sold in the U.S. I am not a fan of Gengoroh Tagame as all that blood is not my thing. Seizou Ebisubashi, Matsu Takeshi, Matsuzaki Tsukasa, Gai Mizuki and a few others have to be my favorite authors. Already a lot of my expendable income goes to books and the gay scene here does lean towards hairy/muscular guys so the market is there.
I believe there can be furry bara like Captain Nikko's, In Good Time, there's a translation in myreadingmanga.info. I don't read it much or at all really.
