The manual does say Synchro Level matters for the ending, but will I manage to get enough and KEEP it? I'm still conflicted between staying at 300% and making macarons.

I hope we can get partner endings in Sweet, or I will be fighting to get them for weeks!

I guess Normal would be easier to fill up Synchro for Soul Whisk, since there are so many bullets... I can't even dare to look at BLACK!

All endings can be unlocked in Sweet mode. There is no "no continue and normal or higher difficulty only" like in Touhou. I want everyone to be able to see the ending too :D

Actually, I don't think Normal is easier though. I mean, ask Alexx. :P

BTW, if you ever make Sugar Shooter 3, use different sound effects for the humping X3 It's not sexy to hear a shaking matchbox, heheh

I noticed  :o I was just going through some theory:

More bullets to Burst=more macarons= more Soul Whisk

Of course that's no good if you get hit afterwards...

I'm getting better at Armor Breaks, so I should manage to get closer to that goal.

Let's go, woof!

I'm not sure, but I think it's still easier to get your synchro meter higher on Sweet.
For one thing it's easier to not get hit, therefore it's easier to maintain it regardless.
To give an idea, by the end of Stage 1 I was able to get an 11 on Sweet, but only a 9 on Normal.
That was just a small number of playthroughs so far though.

And I hate to even mention it again, but I have a problem with the humping sound effects too.
I don't even want to describe how bad it sounds.

WAIT... 11 on Sweet? FIVE Soul Whisks or SIX and you got hit (or No Miss Synchro bonus)?

How do you fill the bar that many times in Sweet?? :o

I've got 87 million points from sweet. still I've got continues. I'm having hard time in the house still. just when good stuff happens to interrupted like in the game. ><;;

hmmmmm..... I think getting soul whisk. They only do quick burst on the X button that way it won't consume fast on your power level. then they use soul whisk without shooting the enemy and continue filling up the meter by quick burst again.

Its not that difficult o,o? I got the Synchro Level at 10 between stage 3 and 4. Just use soul whisk every time the bar is full and 10 points wont be a problem, but its very difficult to hold it until the end.
Fuma kills me everytime and my Synchrolevel is 0 again >.<!!
I think the easiest way is to play with souffel or athur press the fire button and focus on dodge bullets.
Damage wont be a problem because of the auto aim or the aoe effect.

Wanfang

i've reached to level 21 before things are hard to memorize the attack patterns.

Souffle and Arthur are my 1st and 2nd choice to go through the game, Tarosuke third for the spread bombs/focus fire tactic, and finally Sugarless to try and power thought the game
... and we both both go through the same tragedy at the end, eh?

I was keeping the Soul Whisk to rush through the hardest patterns, and I realize now that leaves at 2 per stage at most, but that was because I thought you only got macarons from beating enemies. That's wrong, yes?

Finally we have a spoiler tag! :D

I'm surprised that Alexx can get Synchro Level to 11 at the end of stage 1 in sweet mode! I thought maximum you could do in that stage is 6 - 7. Obviously I was wrong.

Soul Whisk can be used in many ways, and yours is definitely one way to use it. Though don't forget that while your Synchro Meter is full, you won't benefit from getting any macarons. So keeping it for too long means that you've lost your chance of increasing Synchro Level.

One hint for stage 3 is
use the taiyaki midboss for macaron farming, and Soul Whisk away all those annoying fish. It's even more satisfying with Arthur :D
As for sound effect, if anyone mention that again I think kurono is going to commit harakiri lol He's looking for a new sound right now XD

Kinky-K

Okay, I might've gotten those numbers mixed up, actually.
So I think at the most I was able to get a 9 on Sweet and an 11 on Normal by the end of Stage 1.

Still higher than punipen's 6-7 guess though! lol

Guys, we've just found one bug that will not unlock the good ending in theater mode. Terribly sorry about this and I am going to fix it ASAP. However, the CGs associated with the good ending are still unlocked in the gallery. I've also checked and the partner endings are unlocked without any problem as well.

akai-kun

Hey guys. Great game!

@ AlexRexx: I think that all of the stuff is unlockable on sweet mode, except for the bugged one.

@ people who can't get the partner endings: I would recommend stockpiling the synchro on the first three stages (around 15) and then focus on killing last two bosses since they are more difficult to strip. By the time those two stages end, you should have enough extra to get hit a few times.

@ punipen: Is Oni-Papa supposed to have a sugar rush? Because the marker shows up, but it doesn't tell you anything.
He does in Normal difficulty and above, and thus you'll be able to strip him only in those difficulties. You'll get to see his sexy cutin too!
:)
